Floating Gold is a collaborative project by three creative artists: Peni Candra Rini (Indonesia), Rangga Purnama Aji (Indonesia) and Gamelan Naga Mas (Scotland)
Part 1
In November 2022 we launched our first piece of work together, the video series ‘Floating Gold‘. Using a practice known as ‘livecoding’ in conjunction with video streaming technology, we were able to improvise music synchronously between multiple locations in Scotland, the USA and Indonesia.
Part 2

The second phase of the Floating Gold project explored synchronous remote collaboration, combining live in-person vocal/instrumental improvisation with online livecoding.
Floating Gold is funded by the British Council’s International Collaboration Grants, which are designed to support UK and overseas organisations to collaborate on international arts projects.
