Part 2 \u2013 Live Performance<\/h2>\n

The second phase of the Floating Gold project explored synchronous remote collaboration, combining live in-person vocal\/instrumental improvisation with online livecoding.<\/p>\n

Rangga Purnama Aji composed a series of four graphical\/text-based scores inspired by the story of St. Thenue, ocean pollution, accumulation of waste, and lively festivities:<\/p>\n

  3. Abstraction: St. Thenue<\/li>\n
  4. Semarak<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The first performance took place on 5 January 2023 at the Prangwedanan Mangkunegaran in Solo. Peni Candra Rini and Rangga Purnama Aji performed live in the venue alongside a gamelan group composed of students from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Surakarta, with the livecoding musicians from Gamelan Naga Mas joining virtually from Scotland and the USA.<\/p>\n
