We welcome new members to join us! Newcomers will discover the unique sound of the Gamelan and can learn the special insights in Indonesian music, as well as in group music making. No specific musical experience is necessary although it is a good idea to take our Introductory Gamelan course before joining the weekly rehearsals if you are a complete beginner.
The rehearsals take place on Tuesday nights, 6.30 - 9.00 pm at Allander House, Gartnaval Royal Hospital, Glasgow. This is our rehearsal space for the next 2-3 months until a base can be found for the gamelan. Members pay an annual sum of GBP 15.00 a year. Children accompanied by a parent are warmly welcomed!
